María Cambiaso’s Lanhtropy Collaboration with Hawaii Polo Life

Updated: Jun 12, 2023

Chris Dawson recently teamed up with María Cambiaso, the creative director of Lanhtropy, in an exciting collaboration with Hawaii Polo Life. HPL and Lanhtropy, a clothing brand dedicated to making elegant yet comfortable pieces for women, worked together to create a capsule collection, which merges the spirit of Hawaii with the world of polo.

The new line has feminine styles that are both timeless and sustainable, using the softest of linen. Chris recently held a trunk show which featured the collection, as well as products from other female designers. In addition to the clothing line, María also unveiled her jewelry designs.

The two-day event was held at Chris’s Wellington home. The show ended with a cocktail party celebrating the women and honoring their work – including pieces by María’s daughter Myla, an up-and-coming designer.

María herself has quite a résumé. After entering the modeling world at 17, she eventually rose to prominence as a major television personality in Argentina. The beautiful Argentine was also seen on Showmatch, an Eltrece TV program. Beyond her work, María is the wife of polo legend Adolfo Cambiaso, who’s widely considered the best player in the sport. The famous couple tied the knot in 2001, and Adolfo credits her as his greatest inspiration.

They share three children: Mia, Poroto and Myla. When their son was born, Adolfo found himself in the midst of the Argentine Open. At the time, he famously exited the game to witness the birth. 17 years later, María and Adolfo’s boy became the youngest player to win that very tournament.
